TG and TC oil seals may share similar outlines, but in real use they are not simply swap‑and‑go. At DEDE SEAL, we often describe the difference as two seals that “feel” the machine in different ways.
TC oil seal is comfortable in everyday environments—steady rotation, moderate temperature changes, and occasional dust. Its dual‑lip design gives it a gentle balance: one lip keeps the oil inside, and the other keeps outside particles away. It works well in small motors, pumps, and light machinery.
TG oil seal behaves differently. Its lip shape is tuned for quicker motion changes, higher speeds, or situations where the oil film needs to settle fast. It feels more at home in equipment that moves sharply or shifts load more often.
Because of this, swapping them without considering the environment can lead to small surprises. A TG seal placed in a TC environment may feel too rigid. A TC seal placed in a TG environment may struggle to keep its lip steady. The size may fit, but the experience won’t match.
